The Taylor Tradition
The Taylor Company: Manufacturers of Fine Wood Products

The Taylor Company was founded as Taylor Carving in 1972 by John Merritt Taylor, a master spindle carver for nearly 50 years. The company quickly gained a reputation for producing the finest woodcarvings in North America. No wonder, since the company was founded in "Furniture City," Grand Rapids Michigan.

In 1997, business expanded beyond carving into broad capabilities of manufacturing to include framing, finishing and veneering.

In 2002, under new management, the company changed its name to The Taylor Company, and moved to a 90,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Today, The Taylor Company provides carving, finishing, assembly, packaging, and vinyl and veneer wrapping to many industries including contract furniture, fine furniture, fixtures and display, and consumer goods.
